Documenting America's Downfall

When I kicked this thing off a short while ago, one of my ideas was that I could use the site to document everything Trump and his administration are doing, i.e. to keep track of the truth before it could be buried by "alternative facts." The problem with that goal, you can likely imagine, is the sheer scale of it. The unfathomable speed at which Trump has acted with lawless and tactless impunity has, I think, caught everyone by surprise, and I find myself fighting fatigue just to keep my anger and resolve sharp. I don't want to just give up, but I had to give up on the notion of being the authoritarian's archivist.

Luckily, someone else had the same idea and is much better equipped to keep up with the onslaught than any one individual: McSweeney's Internet Tendency is keeping receipts. This is incredibly important work, and I hope you will consider following the links on their page to donate any amount in support of their efforts. While I'm at it, and if you're so inclined, another good recipient for your donations is the Internet Archive who is feverishly trying to save copies of web sites that the current administration is taking offline or defacing with their anti-DEI crusade of bullshit.
